In the Amur region, employees of Renaissance Heavy industries rioted over unpaid wages for three months. The company is a contractor for Gazprom and is involved in the construction of the Amur gas processing plant. Baza published a video of this event.

In the video, dozens of people walk through the office, break down doors, and destroy equipment. In the end, you can see how police detachments were sent to subdue them. According to the publication, law enforcement officers dispersed the workers and detained the most active.

According to the website of the regional Prosecutor's office, after the incident, a check was organized on the fact of violations of the labor rights of foreign workers. At the same time, a criminal case was opened against the protest participants under part 2 of article 213 of the criminal code ("Hooliganism").

The press service of the project's customer, Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk, confirmed the incident involving employees and damage to the premises, TASS reports.

This is the second case in recent months of a riot at Gazprom's contractors. In April, protests were held at the Chayandinsky field in Yakutia, which is the resource base for the Power of Siberia gas pipeline. At that time, workers were outraged by the conditions of life in the quarantine imposed because of the coronavirus outbreak.
