Belarus Purchased Another Tanker With 80 Thousand Tons Of Oil From The United States
A second tanker with 80,000 tons of American oil will be delivered to Belarus in August, Belneftekhim said.
"According to the August delivery plan, a tanker with 80 thousand tons of White Eagle Blend (WEB) oil has been loaded at the American port of Beaumont and is being prepared for shipment to Belarus," the concern said in a statement.
Belneftekhim noted that the deadline for the tanker's arrival in the Lithuanian port of Klaipeda is August 6-8. From there, the oil will be sent by rail to the Belarusian oil refinery "Naftan." "In August, the oil will be completely at the plant," the Ministry said.
"This is the second tanker this year within the framework of the Belarusian-American cooperation to diversify oil supplies to Belarusian refineries. The WEB grade is a mixture of three oil grades (two American and one Canadian). It is specially designed for European refineries focused on the Russian Urals," the concern added.
On the evening of June 5, a tanker with 77 thousand tons of oil for Belarus arrived in the Lithuanian port of Klaipeda from the port of Beaumont (Texas); this was the first cargo of oil from the United States in the history of the Republic. The first American oil began to arrive for processing at Naftan on June 11.
At the end of June, Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei said that the supply of American oil to Belarus is not a one - time step, but a long-term program.
