Pentagon Unveiled Some Details About The "Super-Duper" Hypersonic Missile
The Pentagon has revealed details about a hypersonic missile that US President Donald Trump has long touted as a "super-duper," CNN reported.
"What he (trump - if) had in mind was actually a recent flight test that we conducted in March, during which the speed of the missile was 17 times faster than the speed of sound," a senior us defense official told the TV channel.
The US President said in May that the US is currently working on a missile that will fly 17 times faster than the currently available missiles.
"We call it a "super-duper" rocket. And I've heard that it's 17 times faster than what it is now," Trump said at the White house.
According to him, at the same time, Russia has missiles five times faster than conventional ones, and China is developing missiles that can move 5-6 times faster than existing models. Without specifying which missiles he is referring to, Trump stressed that the us-developed missile is the fastest in the world.
