Archaeologists Have Discovered A Thousand-Year-Old Jewelry Matrix In Switzerland
In Switzerland, archaeologists have discovered a rare form that was used to make jewelry on a Christian theme.
The form was used to make up to seven different items, including earrings and a crucifix. According to experts from the local archaeological service, the find dates back to the IX-XI centuries.
The excavations were carried out in the Canton of Grisons in the South-East of the country. According to archaeologists, the site was located in the middle Ages craft district.
It is reported that the found object is rare, this is the first find of this kind in this Canton. Previously, archaeologists found similar forms in Switzerland only in Bern, Basel, and Winterthur.
