Great Wall Showed A New Frame SUV Wey Tank 300
Chinese carmaker Great Wall presented the first SUV of the premium brand Wey-Tank 300 at the Chengdu auto show. The new product, created in the spirit of the most brutal representatives of this class, was expected to receive a "square" design and frame construction.
The new Wey Tank 300, as it should be by the law of the genre, has utilitarian bumpers made of solid unpainted plastic, wide wheel arches, mirrors on legs, and a swinging fifth door with a spare wheel attached to it.
Outstanding dimensions (length – about 4.5 meters), the Chinese "Tank" can not boast, but it has a modern frame chassis from Haval H9 and a full-featured all-wheel-drive system with a rigidly locked front axle clutch, downshift and blocking both inter-wheel differentials. Modes of driving electronics that adjust the car to different road surfaces, also with it.
Salon, judging by the only picture, "cut" on the patterns of German Mercedes-Benz G-Class – this is indicated by the similar architecture of the torpedo, combined displays a digital "tidy" and multimedia, as well as the form and location of deflectors.
Official data on the engine range of the Tank 300 is not yet available, but it is expected that the same 2.0-liter gasoline turbo engine (245 HP) with an eight-speed "automatic," as in the related Haval H9, will be "registered" under its hood.
The start of sales of the serial Wey Tank 300 in the Chinese market is scheduled for the end of 2020, the beginning of 2021. Representatives of the Wey brand will tell you about the prices and features of the new product separately.
