Israel Reported An Airstrike On Syria
The Israeli military struck military targets in southern Syria in response to shells fired from Syrian territory, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Twitter.
"Earlier today, munitions were fired from Syria toward Israel. In response, our aircraft struck military targets in southern Syria belonging to the Syrian Armed Forces," the report said.
The Israeli side blamed Syria for the incident and assured that it would respond to any violation of its sovereignty.
Syrian Agency SANA also reported about the Israeli attack. According to him, at 23:00 local time, an Israeli aircraft attacked three positions in the Quneitra area. As a result, two Syrian soldiers were slightly injured. Besides, the attack led to a small forest fire.
