Amazon To Create 1,000 Jobs In Ireland

Online retailer Amazon has announced that it plans to create 1,000 new jobs in Ireland and open a new campus in Dublin amid increased demand for cloud services.

The area of the new campus in Dublin will be about 16,000 square meters, it will open in 2022, it will be used by employees of Amazon Web Services.

The company will need specialists in the field of security and big data, engineering and technical staff, program managers, and account managers. The company will also be looking for candidates for positions related to technical management and for senior management positions in Amazon and the cloud division of Amazon Web Services.

The creation of new jobs will allow Amazon to increase the total number of full-time employees in Ireland to 5,000 in the next two years.

"We are seeing a sharp increase in demand for cloud services in Ireland and around the world, and we will be happy to hire 1,000 more highly qualified employees to help our customers innovate," Mike Beary, head of Amazon Web Services in Ireland, said via a press service.
