Apple Announced The Postponement Of The Release Of The iPhone 12
Apple this year plans to release new iPhone models a few weeks later than usual, according to Bloomberg, citing the Chief Financial Officer of Apple Inc. Luca Maestri.
Last year, the company presented a line of new iPhone models on September 10, and the gadgets went on sale on September 20. So, Bloomberg suggests, the new iPhones will appear in October, not September.
"Last year we started selling new iPhones at the end of September, this year we expect deliveries to be available a few weeks later," the Verge quoted Maestri as saying.
The publication notes that Apple does not officially explain the reasons for the delay, but rumors about a possible postponement of the first iPhone 5G appeared in the spring. The media attributed this to problems caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
