China Announced Plans To Test Covid-19 Vaccines Together With Russia
Leading Chinese virologist academician Zhong Nanshan said that China and Russia plan to conduct joint trials of vaccines against coronavirus infection.
He stated this in a speech at the Chinese-Russian medical conference on the fight against COVID-19, noting that the development of vaccines in Russia is very fast.
According to the academician, Russia has managed to ensure that the country's death rate from virus-related diseases remains at a low level, and, in this regard, in the context of a pandemic, the Russian experience deserves to be studied.
The conference was held in the southern Chinese province of Guangdong.its main topics were the exchange of experience in countering coronavirus and the deepening of Russian-Chinese cooperation in the fight against the pandemic.
As reported, on August 11, Russia was the first in the world to register a coronavirus vaccine, called Sputnik V. The drug was developed By the National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after N. F. Gamalei and passed clinical trials.
