The Mayor Of Antalya Became Infected With The Coronavirus
The mayor of the Turkish resort city of Antalya, Muhittin Bejek, said that he had contracted the coronavirus.
"Today my coronavirus test was positive. I'm fine now, in a good mood. I am isolated in the hospital; my condition is being monitored by doctors," he wrote on Monday on his Twitter page. Please observe the rules for using masks [in public places], hygiene, and social distance. I hope to see you soon."
The coronavirus was first detected in Turkey on March 10 in a local resident who returned from Europe. The total number of infected people in the country has now exceeded 249 thousand, 5,974 people have died, and 230,969 have recovered.
The Russian government has decided to resume international air services from August 1, which were discontinued on March 27 due to the pandemic. At the moment, flights to Turkey, Great Britain, Tanzania, and Switzerland have been resumed.
