The US Has Imposed Sanctions On Two Companies From The UAE For Helping Iran's Mahan Air
The US has imposed sanctions on two companies from the United Arab Emirates for cooperation with the Iranian airline Mahan Air, which is under sanctions, according to the website of the US Ministry of Finance.
"The services provided by Pathia Cargo and Delta Parts Supply FZC help Mahan Air maintain its fleet of Western-made aircraft and support the destabilizing agenda of the Iranian regime," the report said.
The US authorities accuse Mahan Air of "transporting terrorists" and weapons to Syria, as well as specialists and equipment to Venezuela "to support the attempts of the illegal regime (Nicholas) Maduro to revive the production of energy."
In particular, both companies, according to the US authorities, supplied the Iranian air carrier with spare parts, including American-made ones. The Director of Pathia Cargo is also included in the sanctions list.
