Rosstat Has Previously Estimated The Decline In Russia's Gdp At 3.6%
Russia's GDP in the first half of 2020, according to preliminary estimates, decreased by 3.6% in annual terms, according to the report of Rosstat.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of economic development Maxim Reshetnikov estimated the decline in Russia's GDP in the first half of the year at 4.2%.
According to Rosstat, for the second quarter, Russia's GDP decreased by 8.5% in annual terms (the Ministry of economic development expected a decline of 9.6%).
In the first quarter of 2020, the Russian economy grew by 1.6%.
According to the forecast of the Ministry of economic development, by the end of 2020, Russia's GDP will fall by 4.8%.
