Steve McQueen Sets Up 'Blitz&& #037; at New Regency, Working Title to Produce With Lammas Park

Steve McQueen has set up his next project, the feature film Blitz at New Regency.

The project will start production in 2022, but there is virtually no details.

The new film is based on the original idea of McQueen, who will also write and produce and also directing.

Yariv Milchan said: Steve is an extremely talented filmmaker and a remarkable storyteller. We are delighted to continue our partnership with him on this exciting new project.

McQueen added: Im thrilled to work with Arnon, Yariv and Michael again and very excited to join forces with [Tim Bevan] and [Erin Fellner] at Working Title Films.

The film series was named best picture by the Los Angeles Film Critics Association, and McQueen won the final draft award for the film. The series received 15 BAFTA Television Awards nominations and five awards.

McQueen co-directed and produced the BBC-Amazon documentaries Black Power: A British Story of Resistance, Subnormal: An British Scandal and Uprising.

Among the films that New Regency has announced is "Everybody's Talking About Jamie", a film adaptation of the acclaimed musical starring Richard E. Grant, Sharon Horgan, Sarah Lancashire and newcomer Max Harwood; upcoming Deep Water - involving Ben Affleck and John David Washington; and aptly titled The Northman, whose naive ties include Alexander Skarsgrd, Nicole Kidman and Willem Dafo
