Penelope Cruz will be honored at MoMA's 2021 film benefit (EXCLUSIVE) ceremony

Penelope Cruz is the first person to receive an award at the 2021 film benefit of the Museum of Modern Art.

The event, presented by Chanel, will return to the New York City museum on Dec. 14th.

As a consequence of her long-standing work with Pedro Almodovar, her acting in the movie Parallel Mothers cements her status as sexy artist, he has achieved prestigious awards for his work in cinema, and is an artist of global scale. She is the first Spanish actress to be nominated for and won an Academy Award for her work, but is truly regarded as an accomplished artist.

The 14th annual Film Benefit will include screenings of Cruz films from the 19th to the 30th of Nov.

The movie received nine-minute standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival. The cast also includes Aitana Sanchez-Gijon, Israel Elejalde, Julieta Serrano and Rossy de Palma.

The film will be screened in conjunction with the annual The Contenders series on Dec. 15 at MoMA.

Tom Hanks, Cate Blanchett, Alfonso Cuaron, Tilda Swinton, Tarantino, Old Madrid, Bigelow, Burton and Baz Luhrmann.

Chanel has been sponsoring the festivities since 2011.
