Masterpiece by John Coltrane: A Love Supreme Certified Platinum (EXCLUSIVE) Certified Gold (ExCLusIVE)

In his time as a great artist, much of John Coltranes later work was so far ahead that it took the world years, if not decades to get caught up with it.

The achievement garners Coltrane, who died of cancer in 1967, his first platinum record, and the first jazz album of the 1960s to receive platinum status.

The album was recorded in a single session on December 9, 1964 in the legendary Van Gelder Studios, in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, with Coltranes classic quartet pianist McCoy Tyner, bassist Jimmy Garrison and drummer Elvin Jones - and released on Impulse! Records the following month.

Five years after its release, it remains one of the greatest albums ever recorded. This album was created by Coltrane as a humble offering to the Divine in 1964. It sold well and received coveted scalanoma and re-advocated by the Grammy.

Last week, the head of Verve and Impulse! Records, Jamie Krents, and the labels head, Ken Druker presented a platinum plaque honoring their father's achievement. (Pictured above, L-R: Kents: Frisch, Ravi Coltrane, Michelle Coltranse.) Last year, he presented the award to the senate of 'The Priy', which was awarded to John and Alice Colotran, his son and daughter, John

The presentation took place at the John & Alice Coltrane Home in Dix Hills, Long Island, N.Y., where John composed the four-part suite.

The original album is now available on Amazon, Apple and Tidal. You can download it here:

I think John and Alice would be very proud of this achievement. We have great pride knowing new generations continue to discover this album and that the music continues to speak to their souls.

The original A Love Supreme record was very impressive, and a lot of fans were able to make the most of the music from the earliest days of life, so countless people were allowed to explore the vast sonic field of jazz. It was incredibly incredible to see the collection and legacy of Mr. Coltrane at Impulse! Records and the original album, Onc and Blue World, became the best of both the two teams.

The album continues to find new listeners over five decades after its release. "John Coltrane is one of the most important artists of 20th century" says Resnikoff, A Love Supreme is his masterwork. We are thrilled to celebrate this milestone and that the album is still a long time old-fashioned album to reach new fans.

A single-handed release features a unique LP that is printed and packaged with hand, and resembles sexy ties. This feature comes with white gloves to help protect the vinyl, which is held securely through the screw to prevent any damage.
