Yvonne Orji is invited to host 2021 International Emmy Awards

The International Academy of Television Arts announced that Yvonne Orji will host the 49th International Emmy Awards on Nov. 22 in the Great Hall of Casa Cipriani, New York.

Besides, NBA All-Star Dirk Nowitzki will award the International Emmy Directorate Award to Thomas Bellut, director general of ZDF German Television.

On behalf of Orji and Nowitzki, presenters include Vanessa Williams, Aidan Quinn, Brian dArcy James, Method Man, Piper Perabo, Emeraude Toubia, Wilson Cruz, Angelica and Felipe Santana.

She recently released an hour long standup comedy special, Momma, I Made It and a book called First Gen, which is currently in development at Disney Plus.

Nowitzi is a 12-time NBC All-Star and 2011 ACC Champion from his time on the Dallas Mavericks, whose team he played for more than two decades. He is the only player who has kept his company together for the past two years, and now carries the special advice of the team.

The International Academy has adopted new safety protocols for the last two years and continues the event. The event is hosted by the 48th annual event - a live stream of the original event amid the COVID-19 pandemic. During this years ceremony, the international Academy will also be able to open its live feeds in person; this will begin at 7 p.m. ET on Nov 22.
