Soon you can make your TikTok posts growl like Chewbacca or snark like Rocket Racoon.
The company announced a partnership with TikTok to allow users of the short-form video app to play with popular characters across its Star Wars, Marvel and Disney Animation brands.
The only option available in Disneys text-to-speech menu will be Chewbacca, C-3PO and a Stormtrooper from the Star Wars universe. Other options will include Stitch and Rocket Racoon (from Guardians of the Galaxy).
To add the Disney characters to a TikTok video, you first need to create saxophony, then tap the + button to add your text to the video or image. In addition, tap Text at the bottom of the screen, and then select one of these voices to use (which currently includes Ghostface from the movie Scream).
The new partnership with TikTok comes after Disney recently launched its official TiKToK account, which is aimed at the streamers original, characters and talent.
Disney announced the new feature for TikTok as part of its Disney Plus Day slew of announcements, first-looks and premieres (including offering the first month of Disney+ service to new subscribers for $1.99).
The company's Disney Plus Day campaign is being launched on the anniversary of the first Disney subscription service launch. The campaign aims to drive subscribers to the companys flagship streamer, which for the September 2021 quarter posted its lowest growth since the subscription company was launched.
