Trump Raised A Record Amount Of Donations In A Month
Donald Trump raised $61.7 million in donations for re-election as head of state for a second term in November's election in April. Former Vice President Joseph Biden, who is seeking the Democratic nomination, raised $60.5 million in April for the campaign. This was reported on Monday by the election headquarters of the Republican and Democrat.
"The Republican National Committee (RNC) today announced that the joint committees of Donald Trump and the RNC raised $61.7 million in April, a record high for the month," Trump's campaign headquarters said in a statement. The total amount of donations to his campaign reached $742 million. Of these, more than $255 million in cash was not spent.
Biden's staff informed that donations to the former Vice President's election goals last month totaled $60.5 million. In March, this figure was about $79 million.
