Alleged Drug Traffickers Plane Crashes On A Highway In Mexico

Alleged drug traffickers plane crashes on a highway in Mexico.

The Hawker XB-RCM jet crashed on a highway in the state of Quintana Roo in Eastern Mexico, the Infobae website reported.

The plane crashed at 7:50 on Sunday at 61 kilometers of the Chunkhuhub-Jose Maria Morelos highway and caught fire. The Minister of public security of Mexico Alberto Capella on his Twitter urged citizens to avoid the area of the disaster.

Capella reported that the plane was linked to criminal activity. This was found out by his registration number. The incident will be investigated by Federal authorities.

The road section was blocked by the military and police. Nothing is known about the victims. The plane's crew fled the scene.

Presumably, the plane was flying from South America and weighed more than a ton of cocaine.
