Two People Died When Two Planes Collided Over A Lake In The United States

Two planes collided in the United States over Lake Coeur d'Alene in Idaho, two people were killed, and six are missing, according to CNN.

Kootenai County police Lt. Ryan Higgins said the two planes were reported to have collided on Sunday afternoon. The bodies of the two victims were recovered from the water before the planes sank.

He noted that the other six passengers are still missing, and children are among the victims.

Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the collision, Higgins said.

According to him, the fallen planes were detected using sonar at a depth of more than 38 meters.

A representative of the Federal civil aviation administration and egregor told the TV channel that one of the planes that crashed was a Cessna 206. The model of the second plane is unknown.

The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the national transportation safety Board are investigating the collision.
