The Batwoman Showrunner Talks about Gotham and More about the S04 "Almost Post-Apocalyptic."

To say that this year''s performance for The CW''s Arrowverse would be the kind of understatement wrought by respect for fans who lost their roles this year, including the Caity Lotz-starring, the Javicia Leslie-starring, and the Kaci Walfall-starring. Now with the rumblings that some Arrowverse answers will be happening during the second season of the Tyler Hoechlin & Elizabeth Tulloch-starring, Batwoman showrunner Caroline Dries is checking in

"I wanted there to be real ramifications for the Joker''s acid bomb attack," says the chairman. I wanted it to be almost post-apocalyptic, as Ryan is now one of the few people left taking care of her city."

"I wanted [Ryan Wilder] to represent the hero of the city, as she has proved to herself that she is capable of being Batwoman. Now, how does she literally save her city from a Chernobyl catastrophe?"

While Dries was skeptical about how Ryan (Leslie) and Sophie''s (Meagan Tandy) would behave during the third season, Dries said it was possible to envision a future. "It''s unlikely that Ryan Wilder and Batwoman will survive," Dries said.

Javicia Leslie plays Ryan Wilder/Batwoman, Rachel Skarsten as Alice, Nicole Kang as Mary Hamilton, Camrus Johnson as Luke Fox, Renee Montoya, Robin Givens as Jada Jet, and Nick Creegan as Marquis Jet. Greg Berlanti, Caroline Dries, Geoff Johns, and Sarah Schechter executive producers. Berlanti, Caroline Dries, and Greg Berlanti Productions are also producing in partnership with Warner Bros. Television.
