SNK has announced the third DLC team for KOF XV today. This team will be a variation of the original Team Orochi, which includes the Orochi versions of the main antagonists during the Orochi saga. There isn''t much more about the new DLC team that will be released in August.
The Team Awakened Orochi teaser trailer can be seen here:
Team Awakened Orochi was initially introduced as sub-bosses, which also activated the Riot of the Blood, which was dormant within Iori and Leona. This transformed both of them into rampaging beasts rather than your usual fighters. In this episode, the story in KOF XV revolves around the rebirth of Orochi, so it''ll be interesting to see what role will play in this game.
Will this team become as unachievable as it was in KOF''97? Will Orochi Yashiro obtain his KOF 2002 Galactica Ripoff punch as a Level 3? All of these questions will be answered in August 2022.
Now, for what''s basically the second half of the acquisition, The King of Fighters''98 Ultimate Match Final Edition was announced today by SNK. It is also now available on Steam and PlayStation 4. This ultimate edition of KOF 98 now has spectating modes and lobbyies that can hold up to nine players on top of the extremely important Rollback netcode.
The game also gives players an overall sense of the game balance, as well as new characters that were not in the original production of KOF 98, such as Eiji Kisaragi, Kasumi Todoh, Geese Howard, Mr. Big, and Wolfgang Krauser. It also allows players to play the original NEO-GEO version of KOF 98, which has been ported and will be included in the package.
KOF XV is currently available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation consoles. The KOF 98 Ultimate Match Final Edition is now available on PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam.
