Martin Hancock of Coronation Street details who he REALLY wants to share a scene with

Martin Hancock has revealed what Weatherfield resident he intends to do on the soap.

Martin will reprise his role as a Peruvian eco-warrior, Spider Nugent, after nearly two decades of being left to start a new life.

Between 1997 and 2003, Spider was best known for being Emily Bishops (Eileen Derbyshire) eco-warrior nephew and the on/off boyfriend of Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor).

After bumping into her at her waste incineration protest, he will make his comeback as a green-fingered campaigner and rejoin his former girlfriend Toyah.

After her husband Imraan Habeeb (Charlie De Melo) was tragically killed in a car crash, Toyah has gone through a traumatic time on the soap. She has been released on bail after being apprehended for his killing.

With Spider departing the soap 19 years ago, it''s no surprise that there have been a slew of new faces walk the cobbles.

Talking to What to Watch Martin revealed what new cast member he wants to work with, and even revealed his surprising connection to the star.

He said: "It''s great to think about them. Even though they''re not new to me, they''re new to me." Joe Duttine (who plays Tim Meltcalfe) says that I went to drama school with him. In thirty-year careers, we have never worked together, and he''s found his character attractive. I''m so glad to work with Joe.

Martin said that he will match Spider as well.

Nizza, he said, "I was completely irritated before filming. I had sleepless nights, but I got hooked up with Simon Gregson the other day, and I haven''t stopped nattering with people to be honest with you!"
