This week''s episode of Paramount+''s "The Elysian Kingdom" is about as vilishly deceptive as it gets with the actors (save for three of the actors) playing completely different roles. Consider this as a minor spoilers warning moving forward.
M''Benga is engulfed in balancing his duties as Chief Medical Officer and attempting to reclaim his position. When First Officer Una Chin-Riley (Rebecca Romijn) reminds him of his hectic schedule to go back to duty again so it''s back to the bridge only to see the Enterprise reflects his much-disturbing story to his wife.
Given the medieval character of the fairy tale, M''Benga discovered that only he retains his own memories as the cast takes on the characters from the book. But given that kind of opportunity, anson Mount''s Capt. Pike is a king''s faithful character, often clamming up to even showing off her vocal chops. M''Benga is the "king" and main character of the story. Celia Rose Gooding is the evil queen challenging his territory.
The film "The Elysian Kingdom" is an outside-the-box classic that is reminiscent of the Holodeck-centric and episodes. It also adds a lot of self-awareness that makes an already special episode go that extra mile. It is also a perfect fit for parenting. It is also a fantastic timing that makes an already special episode more enjoyable. It is also a bonus for a reader to think about it.
