The Monksnail appears only in one spot in the Frost Islands, but, even then, only if youre lucky. It might turn up near the large shipwreck and beyond the boundary of areas you can explore. If you unlocked the regions second sub-camp, then travel there, and head to the spot shown on the map image above.

Climb up the ship, and get on the cabin roof. Face northeast so youre looking out over the water and wait. Some players report the Monksnail taking about ten minutes to show up, but it only took five minutes for us. It either way, so you don''t have to worry about missing it once it arrives.

There is a possibility the Monksnail might not be present, though. We recommend going on an expedition quest rather than a monster hunt, so you should not be afraid to wait until the day arrives.

Bring your camera from the hotbar, snap a photo, and return to Flur, where you can get your Monksnail Hat covered armor.
