A new version of Pokemon HOME has been announced. Read on below to learn more.

BELLEVUE, WAMay 12, 2022The Pokemon Company International and Nintendo have announced the latest Pokemon HOME version 2.0.0, which will now allow thePokemon Legends: Arceus,Pokemon Brilliant Diamond, andPokemon Shining Pearlvideo games to be compatible with the cloud service app alongside previous gamesPokemon Sword,Pokemon Shield, Pokemon: Lets Go, Pikachu!, and Pokemon GO.[1]Players may expect the update in the next weeks

Pokemon HOME allows trainers to continue their Pokemon adventures beyond a single game system and manage their collection of Pokemon across many of their games. The Pokemon that players can take to each game are limited to the Pokemon that appear in those games. Players can see the details on which Pokemon can be taken to which games from the Help menu of the mobile device version ofPokemon HOME.[2]

Strange Balls will only appear inPokemon Legends: Arceus,Pokemon Brilliant Diamond, andPokemon Shining Pearl. All Pokemon caught inPokemon Legends: Arceus will only appear in regular Poke Balls.[3]

Players will be able to see the Pokemon that became famous in Pokemon HOME.

When paired with Pokemon HOME, you may claim special Pokemon.Pokemon Brilliant Diamond,Pokemon Shining Pearl, andPokemon Legends: Arceusbecoming compatible with Pokemon HOME, players will receive special Pokemon if you link each game.[4]

Players will receive Rowlet, Cyndaquil, and Oshawott with maximum effort levels as Mystery Gifts in Pokemon HOME''s mobile device version.

Pokemon Brilliant DiamondandPokemon Shining PearlConnectivity After depositing a Pokemon fromPokemon Brilliant DiamondorPokemon Shining Pearlinto the Nintendo Switch version of Pokemon HOME, players will receive Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup with hidden abilities as mystery gifts in the mobile device version of Pokemon HOME.

Connectivity Between Various Games Pokemon can learn inPokemon Legends: Arceus,Pokemon Brilliant Diamond,Pokemon Sword, andPokemon Shielddiffer. As a Pokemon, its moves will not be measured when it is transferred to another game.[5]

If a Pokemon is returned from the game it was caught into another game and learns other moves, then it will return to the game it was caught in.[6]

Players onPokemon Brilliant DiamondandPokemon Shining Pearlto Pokemon HOME can see the condition of the Pokemon deposited by the Pokemon Brilliant DiamondandPokemon Shining Pearlto Pokemon HOME as well as their other information.

When connectingPokemon Brilliant DiamondandPokemon Shining Pearlto Pokemon HOME, make sure you follow the following guidelines.

  • Special Pokemon that can only be caught once during regular gameplay can only be deposited once per save data to Pokemon HOME.

Linking toPokemon Legends: Arceus You can see the effort levels of Pokemon fromPokemon Legends: Arceusto Pokemon HOME as well as its other information.

  • The objective ofPokemon Legends: Arceusis to help compile the first Pokedex in the Hisui region. As such, the National Pokedex in Pokemon HOME will update its Pokedex entries based on your completion of the Pokedex in yourPokemon Legends: Arceussave data.
  • If a Pokedex entry inPokemon Legends: Arceusis incomplete, you will not be able to see that Pokemons entry in Pokemon HOME.

Additional Achievements and Stickers Players can obtain stickers bycompleting achievements with strict requirements in Pokemon HOME''s mobile device version. New achievements and stickers will be added from version 2.0.0 onwards.

Through the Nintendo Switch version, you may link Pokemon HOME to different games.

A new update toPokemon HOME(version 2.0.0) will soon come, allowing you to link toPokemon Legends: Arceus,Pokemon Brilliant Diamond, andPokemon Shining Pearl alongside previousPokemon Sword,Pokemon Shield,Pokemon: Lets Go, Pikachu!, andPokemon GO.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus,Pokemon Brilliant Diamond, andPokemon Shining Pearl will be mutually compatible with Pokemon HOME, and you will be able to deposit and withdraw Pokemon to and from each of these games. For example, you will be able to take a Pikachu that you discovered inPokemon SwordorPokemon Shining Pearl.

Please note that transferring Pokemon to a game they were not initially caught in may alter known moves, levels, and the type of Poke Ball they were caught in.

After version 2.0.0 of Pokemon HOME, the only Pokedex in the Pokemon HOME was the National Pokedex. However, the Pokedex from each game will be added. Pokemon in your Boxes in Pokemon HOME will be registered after the version 2.0.0 update. Unlike any Pokemon that have been traded away, the only pokedex will be listed.

By completing achievements in the mobile device version of Pokemon HOME, you may obtain new stickers to edit your profile. These accomplishments may be accomplished if you meet certain requirements.

While Pokemon caught inPokemon Brilliant Diamond,Pokemon Shining Pearl,Pokemon Sword, orPokemon Shieldare have been shown in strange balls. When Pokemon caught inPokemon Brilliant Diamond,Pokemon Shining Pearl, orPokemon Shieldare have been shown in standard Poke Balls.

You may check the condition of Pokemon recovered from thePokemon Brilliant DiamondandPokemon Shining Pearlto Pokemon HOME as well as their other information.

As well as its other details, you may see the effort levels of Pokemon deposited byPokemon Legends: Arceusto Pokemon HOME.

Arceusis will assist in compiling the Hisui regions first Pokedex. As such, the National Pokedex in Pokemon HOME will update its Pokedex entries based on your Pokedex completion in yourPokemon Legends: Arceussave results.

If a Pokedex entry inPokemon Legends: Arceusis is incomplete, you will not be able to see the Pokedex entry in Pokemon HOME.

When you link each game to Pokemon HOME, you will receive special Pokemon to celebratePokemon Legends: Arceus, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond, andPokemon Shining Pearlbecoming compatible with Pokemon HOME.

In the mobile version of Pokemon HOME, you will receive Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup as hidden abilities.

In Pokemon HOME''s mobile device version, you may deposit a Pokemon from Pokemon Pokemon Legends: Arceusinto. Rowlet, Cyndaquil, and Oshawott are among the items you will receive as Mystery Gifts.
