Serj Tankian, a Down singer, has joined a growing slew of artists in the upcoming music-themed first-person shooter Metal: Hellsinger.
The Outsiders, a studio founded by David Goldfarb, the former CEO of Battlefield 3 and the Payday 2 director, has been released, and promises to develop a wealth of gun-based demon-slaying, all together to a metal soundtrack.
Each of the game''s stages will have its own track, with the player''s power increasing, from atmospheric background footage to massive metal anthems, if they fail to keep their attacks on track.
The album "The Way of a Down" has been written by Metal: Hellsigner, which can be heard below, and is a growing list of contributor artists including Trivium''s Matt Heafy, Arch Enemy''s Alissa White-Gluz, and Randy Blythe from Lamb of God.
Metal: Hellsinger was initially scheduled to be released last year, but due to a delay "in order to meet the high expectations for the game" it will now be available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC at some point later this year.
