In the lead-up to the opening of the movie, people speculated on what sort of cameos they would see. Marvel decided to lean into that a bit, and it seemed like people were expecting a massive set of familiar and not-so-familiar faces. It turned out that there were several huge names there that long-time Marvel fans might recognize, but one that few a bit more under the radar unless you were looking at the cast list was Anson Mount''s return as the Inhuman Black
One of those shows that were often a visual disaster from the start and didn''t get any better. However, the casting, like most Marvel casting, was not the issue, and Mount was always a professional Black Bolt. It was a shame that the show didn''t really give him the opportunity to really play the character. Mount was able to return on social media to discuss the process.
"Finally able to talk about this w/out of providing too many spoilers," Mount said in a tweet with a piece of concept art. "Getting the call from @Kevfeige was one of my most memorable times of my life. It was an honor & joy to finally work w/ Sam Raime who approached me to discuss how to do this. Beyond grateful for the experience."
Mount also got the opportunity to play the classic Black Bolt costume, which is why some might have found it difficult to recognize him in the film. Unless you know that jawline or you watched the credits, you might not know it was Mount at all. He also uploaded a short behind-the-scenes video from the film.
The first "Dr. Strange" rehearsal has been ended. Despite the incredible stunt team and producer Richie Palmer, I was so pleased with it. #DoctorStrange #MultiverseOfMadness #BlackBolt #stunts @Marvel pic.twitter.com/ClShgS7TGO
