The Infinity-Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 are likely to be released later this summer, but some key details have apparently been leaked over the past 24 hours. For those who haven''t been keeping up, Modern Warfare 2 will likely replace Zombies/Spec Ops with a new third mode, called DMZ, which will likely be inspired by Escape from Tarkov. According to wanton reporter Tom Henderson, Infinity Ward will be avoiding the same work by having Warzone 2 and the new DM

According to Henderson, this one will largely be copied from previous CoD multiplayer maps. Highrise, Quarry, Terminal, and Afgan from the original Modern Warfare 2 will be brought back. The whole list of POIs included in the new map is shown, from top-left to bottom-right.
- Quarry (Quarry)
- Modern City (Highrise)
- Caves (Afgan)
- Mountain town (assumed Fevela)
- Airport (Terminal)
Henderson claims that Warzone 2 will introduce a new Stronghold mechanic. These are pretty much exactly what they sound like fortified areas spread across the map and guarded by AI, with players gaining access to potentially powerful loadouts by liberating them. So you''ll have to be cautious about buying them.
A low-res video demonstrating Modern Warfare 2''s new gun-inspect feature has been making the rounds. I can''t guarantee this video will last until long, therefore it should be able to locate it with a Google search.
Activision Blizzard has faced a variety of lawsuits and other legal action following a lawsuit filed by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) alleging widespread gender-based discrimination and sexual harassment at the Call of Duty publisher. Vous may get more details about it here.
In 2022, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be available on unspecified platforms. A release date for Warzone 2 has not been confirmed.
