The mod creator is redrawing cutscenes

El Gato Del Tejado is attempting to design a remaster, which has been phenomenally successful so far.

The mod creator walks us through some in-engine photos of the project, giving us an update on some of the games character models, namely Lisa Simpson. They describe the journey of getting a 3D model to appear correctly in the game, and folks it aint easy!

The key to this is the way the creator decided to alter the games cutscenes. Initially, they wanted to see cutscenes with advanced 3D technology, but without much experience in the show, they opted for 2D. Deciding to do it by hand, they learned the animation style of the show, and consulting series bibles to get it done (which series creator Matt Groening has documented endlessly).

The results are.insane. The following video shows several comparison shots, which are near impossible to distinguish from those who were on television. At this point, the project is basically a resume. In fact, hire them to perform an official remaster.
