The start date for Dancing with the Stars Disney Plus has been announced

Get your dancing shoes ready as the premiere date for Disney Plus has been announced. On September 19, the beloved ballroom dancing reality competition that connects celebrities with professional dance partners will begin popping up on Disney''s streaming platform.

On ABC, the show was aired for 30 seasons. In April, it was announced that it would travel from ABC to Disney Plus. The show also received a two-season pickup as it made the jump to its new home, which means season 31 and 32 will air on the streaming platform.

Here''s the official video of the Disney Plus game:

"It''s the hit series hosted by Tyra Banks, a supermodel and businesswoman, and Alfonso Ribeiro, in which celebrities are paired with trained ballroom dancers to compete in choreographed dance routines judged by a panel of renowned ballroom professionals, including Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough."

With Banks and Ribeiro returning as host with the same panel of judges weve seen in previous seasons, there''s every reason to believe that the show will have the same look and feel as it always had on ABC. There''s no indication that anything will change now that the reality competition will call Disney Plus its home.

Fans may expect further announcements for Season 31 in the coming weeks, including cast announcements. When the show was broadcast on ABC, cast announcements were often made on, another ABC staple, so it will be interesting to see if the jump to Disney Plus will alter the casting process.

Other announcements during the summer press tour of TCA include a new premiere date for August 18 rather than August 17, repurposing the new Marvel series one day to Thursdays. A preview date was also announced for and (September 8), (September 21) and season 2 (September 28).
