Activision Blizzard and NetEase have collaborated on several projects, including the most recent. A new analysis claims that a potential mobile game has broken through.

Bloomberg claims that a mobile game has been closed. According to Bloomberg sources, the project was in development for three years, but the two companies were encroached on financial terms and ultimately called it off.

The company of over 100 developers has apparently been removed, and some were reportedly offered internal transfers. A spokesperson for NetEase has declined to comment on the matter to Bloomberg. An Activision Blizzard spokesperson has not commented.

According to Bloomberg, the canceled project was a massively multiplayer online game set in the universe. According to a source, the report would not be a direct one-to-one of the mega-hit, but a spinoff set during a different time period.

NetEase and Blizzard have collaborated on several large projects, so the report comes as a surprise. Alongside, which has received some irritated reactions from fans, NetEase has also published other Blizzard franchises in China.

Although fans haven''t been impressed by the microtransactions, it has continued to see growth and is ramping up until the start of its next expansion.
