The island sanctuary of Final Fantasy 14 is a step closer with fresh screen shots

Patch 6.2 of Final Fantasy 14 will be released in late August, and includes the addition of the new Island Sanctuary. These are private homes where players can farm, build, and invite friends to hang. Square Enix have released a few new screenshots today showing the tropical paradise you''ll be building upon.

Above is one of the Island Sanctuary''s screenshots, and here''s the other, which shows a beach and turquoise waters.

The Island Sanctuary is not a huge amount known at this stage. It was described as "relaxing solo content" in a letter from The Producer livestream last month, for which you''ll need no previous character experience in crafting. I''ll be very sorry if folks can''t build chocobo farms.

The Island Sanctuary is not the only thing to be released in patch 6.2, which is called Buried Memory. If you visit the update microsite, you''ll find details and screenshots of the main storyline updates, the new instanced dungeon, and more.

If it''s still not enough to satisfy your appetite, then you''ll have to wait for the next Letter From The Producer stream, which will be released on August 12th.
