Xbox Insiders in Colombia and Ireland may be able to test the Game Pass Ultimate group membership.
Microsoft has started testing a new family plan for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, and im hoping that it will be released to the rest of the world sooner than later. Xbox Insiders in Colombia and Ireland can add up to four people to their subscription.
According to Sr. Technical Program Manager, the best Game Pass games can be played on consoles, PCs, and cloud, thus allowing you to add up to four people to your subscription, all with their own unique access to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate games, content, and benefits.
As discussed on the Xbox Wire blog, there are a few points to keep an eye on when it comes to the test run.
Xbox Game Pass Insider Preview details
With the current framework, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members may convert their subscription time to the family plan based on the value of the previous membership. One whole month of Ultimate comes out to 18 days of the group plan.
Going off those numbers, it might suggest a $25-per-month family plan, which would end up being fairly if split between other members. As is the standard price for a single Xbox Game Pass Ultimate user is $14.99 per month.
This lead-user-to-group-subscription conversion is complete, and users must wait for their new membership to expire before returning to a previous membership.
Invitees cant do this same time conversion for the rest of the Game Pass group. Before signing up, a group member may either cancel their existing subscription or wait until it expires. If they do not have a Microsoft account, friends and family will have to create a new Microsoft account and sign in.
Everything is subject to change (it''s a challenge, for the time being), but I hope it will continue to flow worldwide. It can be a confusing subscription-filled hellscape out there, so being able to share with friends and family and save will be much appreciated.
