The Obscure fighting series is preparing for a return.
It has been a month since we reported that an obscure 00s fighter was preparing to make a comeback on modern gaming platforms, and already publisher 3goo is dropping the news that its equally obscure sequel,, is also in training for a long-awaited return to the ring.
The Rumble Fish 2 is a powerful 2D fighter built on the then-popular Atomiswave arcade hardware, which was devastated and dubbed asunder by capitalistic greed. The sequel also introduced new fighting abilities, but maintained the original games'' trademark S.M.A. (Smooth Model Animation) visual style.
The original game may be seen in the trailer below.
According to the 3goo president, the game''s longevity signifies the amazing work Dimps has done with it, thanks to their two decades of experience in game development. We [hope] that fans of the game will be surprised about a few more surprise announcements before the release. Keep an eye on these findings!
For the first time in a row, the fighting sequel will feature improved HD visuals in 16:9 widescreen format. Additionally, a slew of new features and modes are being added to the title, including training and gallery options. In addition, 3goo said that the rollback netcode will increase its industry standard, so long-time players will be able to enhance their abilities against worldwide opposition.
and will be released later this year on PlayStation, PC (via Steam, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch platforms.)
