Nextweek, the PC version of PUBG: Battlegrounds' 19.1 update will be released

The next significant update for PUBG: Battlegrounds, 19.1, is expected to be released on PC and 18th August for consoles on the 10th August.

The new MP9 weapon - the first fully-automatic SMG that uses 9mm - will see you "sziepping down roads with sirens ablaze" (so not for the stealthy, it appears), and the Blue Chip Detector tactical gear, which allows to scan for enemies within a 100m radius; the nearest 12 enemies will be visible on the map.

The brand-new 1500hp Folding Shield will be available for download and "once again have the chance to drop onto the Haven map," according to the update. Assassin''s Creed season has also included "familiar foes."

ICYMI, a crossover event for PUBG, will feature Assassin''s Creed-inspired cosmetics, events, and "world elements" from 17th August to 22nd September, as well as themed resources and props on the Haven map where you may just find a hidden Animus machine and Leap of Faith ledges.

New State Mobile will have some Assassin-flavoured gear, as well as the mobile PUBG, which enables users to receive "over 30 unique Assassin''s Creed-themed costumes, including Ezio''s Outfit, Shay''s Outfit weapon skins, collaboration crates, as well as limited-time events. Play daily to receive log-in rewards from 18th August until 21st September.

"As part of the ongoing collaboration between PUBG: Battlegrounds and Assassins Creed, players will be able to discover a variety of themed materials and props on the Haven map, which is now available again for the first time since Season 16,," Krafton said.

"Abstergo Industries has taken over one of the maps'' main buildings, complete with a hidden Animus machine, and strategically placed Leap of Faith ledges on the rooftop. En out, the collaboration gives players the opportunity to earn themed cosmetic rewards thanks to gameplay, including new costumes, bag skins, a parachute skin, an emote, and more."

The "hottest destination" of PUBG, a new map Deston, is now available on PC and console. It''s the first new map to come to the battle royale since it was free-to-play.

Deston includes a flooded downtown, a swamp, and coastlines, as well as the Lodge, the game''s "most important building."
