Clefairy, 5/102
This classic Clefairy illustrated by Ken Sugimori is the precursor to all Clefairy cards. It was the first attack printed that permitted a Pokemon to copy another Pokemons attack without meeting any special requirements, making this card even more unique.
1/64 Clefable
This classic Clefable, illustrated by Mitsuhiro Arita, was not only the first Clefable card printed, but the first card printed in theexpansion. Like Clefairy, it has the powerfulMetronomeattack, but it was significantly easier to use because it only cost 1 energy.
Cleffa, 20/111
This classic Cleffa, created by Kagemaru Himeno, is used with yarn on a table, highlighting its small size as one of the first Baby Pokemon. Not only was this the first Cleffa card ever created, but it was also arguably the most powerful Cleffa card due to its Baby Rule that made it extremely difficult to Knock Out. ItsEeeeekattack was a great way to repurpose the hand for only one energy.
Clefable ex, 106/112
Clefable ex is the only Clefable card that has more than one Prize and is the only Pokemon ex from the Cleffa, Clefairy, and Clefable Evolution chain. Similar to the original Clefable from, Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated the Clefable ex with theMetronomeattack. However, unlike the original Clefable, Clefable exsMetronomeattack requires the player to pay any additional costs of the attack being copied.
Cleffa, 24/95
This Cleffa was widely used in the Active Spot because of itsSweet Sleeping FacePoke-Body. ItsEeeeekattack only drew six cards (compared to Cleffas 7) but it was still effective.
69/111 Clefairy
This Clefairy with the moon in the background (illustrated by Naoyo Kimura) was the first Fairy-type Clefairy card to be included in the Pokemon TCG. Previously, it appeared as a Colorless-type Pokemon, but the new Dragon-type Pokemon cards were weak to the newly introduced Fairy-type cards. Several additional Fairy-type Clefairy cards were followed during theandSeries.
63/108 Clefairy
Theexpansion provided an example of the original Clefairy, which featured a new Weakness and Resistance. Although it may not seem disturbing on the surface, itsMetronomeattack and its Fairy typing made it a powerful card in the Expanded format.Ninja Boywas often used to swap Pokemon with Energy acceleration (likeHo-Oh-) with Clefairy to instantly bring out a bigMetronomecapable of taking out powerful Dragon-type attackers like Arceus &
Clefairy, 74/192, is a high-profile business.
The Nintendo TCG began printing a fairy-type Pokemon as well as support for them at the beginning. Many Pokemon who were Fairy types in the video games began to be represented as Psychic types. This almost-cosmic Clefairy, illustrated by sowsow, was the first Psychic-type Clefairy to be printed, marking the Pokemons'' third typing in the game.
197/236 Lillies Poke Doll
The Lillies Poke Doll isnta Clefairy card, but it also features an illustration of a Clefairy Doll next to the Lillies hat and bag. What makes this card unique is how prominent it was as a competitive card throughout the period. Both of these cards might continue to be returned from the discard pile to the top of the deck, allowing the Trainer to keep the game until their opponent disappeared.
