Season 31 of the Mirror Ball trophy will premiere. It''s a new era for the dance competition as the show moves from its long-time home on ABC to its new home on Disney Plus.
Each season, a new cast of celebrities combines with seasoned ballroom dancers who compete for the top prize: the coveted Mirror Ball trophy and bragging rights.
Last season, there was a close race. Iman Shumpert and Daniella Karagach both won season 31.
Judge Bruno Tonioli told an enthusiastic crowd at D23 that he''s planning a commercial free season on Disney Plus. It''s unlikely that the model will last or conclude if the streamer switches to an ad-supported model, but it''s still fun to see it.
Season 31 is here to say about it.
