Everyone agrees, that the much-rumoured Nintendo Direct is quite real, and it''s going to be on the market tomorrow, September 13.
This past week, he-said, she-said, they-said, with reports of the Direct being released this week, before being delayed, then not being delayed, and now it''s been confirmed that it will be streamed on the official Nintendo YouTube channel at 3pm BST/ 4pm CEST/ 10am EST.
The Direct will apparently feature "roughly 40 minutes of information" that is mostly focused on Nintendo Switch games coming this winter. Seeing as winter runs from December to March, don''t expect anything that will be released in just December.
The rumoured reason for the delay is a result of the recent news of Queen Elizabeth''s death. However, the Nintendo UK YouTube channel will not livestream the Direct, but rather distribute it as a video-on-demand on its channel, which will be available from 4pm BST.
There isn''t anything that might hinder UK viewers from viewing other livestreams like the US one, therefore this is likely to be a modest gesture on Nintendo UK''s part.
In any of the announcements, no specific games were mentioned, but some of the rumors were that the long-awaited Wind Waker and Twilight Princess ports will be released on Switch. Considering the rumours, it would not be a hugely surprising move.
Some of the speculation suggests that some Metroid Prime ports would be coming, which have been rumoured for years. Other than that, anything is game, but fans will likely hope for some kind of sequel updates for Breath of the Wild, and Smash fans will still be disappointed by the lack of any kind of announcement.
