Capcom has started a new website on the 10th anniversary of the release of. It also published a new illustration commemorating the event, along with a message from director Hideaki Itsuno. The website also includes a timeline of previous releases, from remasters to the recent Netflix anime adaptation.
The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game were first released in Japan on May 24, 2012. The game sparked an open world in which players could control a customizable character and fight monsters in a quest to defeat the Dragon, which stole their head. The game was praised for its quality and versatility.
Capcom ported the game to PC in 2016, as well as to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in 2017. The enhanced version of the game, which was later released for Nintendo Switch in 2019, was most recently released in September 2020.
