Capcom is adding online battles and chip trading to the Mega Man Battle Network Switch

We are currently working on online activities such as chip battles and chip trading.

Today during the Capcoms Online Program stream (that''s what it calls!) the publisher confirmed that Switch online play is currently being developed.

Here''s what they did right on stream: Were currently developing online strategies, such as chip battles and chip trading. Simple enough! This will, in theory, allow players to confront each other like back in the portable-versus-day periods, and trade skills together. Yes, it''s highly reminiscent of, unlike many other portable games of that time. Capcom used the phrase every series when they was talking about what games would be affected, and later provided a full article about their online plans.

We had a few more things to say about the game. Up next to a fully voiced Mega Man main menu navigator, additionals include 1,000 illustrations and 188 songs across the represented games. Here''s a sneak peek at what games are included in the re-release effort, which will begin in 2023 (no exact date was confirmed in the stream today).
