The remake of Resident Evil 4 is now in development for PS4

Capcom has confirmed that it will now remake one previous-gen console.

Theremake is a way to transform traditional console hardware and PC. Today, Capcom confirms it is also bringing the remake to PS4.

During today''s Tokyo Game Show presentation in 2022, producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi said that the organization was exploring ways to implement previous generation hardware. Since then, he does not mention Xbox One, and it appears that consoles are now on the list.

Hirabayashi confirms that there will be a Showcase for next month. There has not been a specific date for that as of this writing.

Back in the saddle again

Theremake is a limited-fledged project headed by Capcom, which is expected to re-tell Leon Kennedy''s rescue of the president''s daughter in one of the most likely examples.

When it was finally revealed in June, it was long-rumored to be in development, and it''s not a long wait until its out, either. Capcom has sent a release date for March 24, 2023.

The studio is aproposing for PlayStation VR 2 content. Its likely to see more of what it has planned for next monthsshowcase. Despite this worry, PlayStation 4 owners will not have to upgrade immediately to experience Leons'' adventure in new detail all over again.
