At the Grand Slam, Moxley and Danielson will compete for the AEW Championship

In the main event of AEW Dynamite last night, Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson each won their semi-final matches. Danielson forced Chris Jericho to tap in a gruesome technical match to advance to the tournament finals. Moxley was able to meet with Sammy Guevara, who unsuccessfully failed to win with Tay Melo and Anna Jay, but fell to the Death Rider.

Punk repeatedly defended former friend Colt Cabana, including former AEW co-founders Kenny Omega and Tbhe Young Bucks during a post-PPV protest. The following Wednesday, Tony Khan decided that Punk would be stripped of his AEW world championships, with the titles awarded to Death Triangle in a match later that night.

Following Danielson''s victory on last night, Moxley and Danielson met in the ring, where they shook hands ahead of their match next week. Both men are members of the Blackpool Combat Club stable, and either one would become an excellent AEW World Champion. Moxley was reportedly planning to take a vacation after losing the title at, which would seem to spur a Danielson victory, but Moxley would not be out of character to take a vacation to ensure it would compete in the organization

The AEW World Championship match will take place next week on, a special event dubbed Slam, at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in Long Island.
