Fans were furious with Fiz after she branded Rosie Webster a "strumpet" remarking that her cruel jibe was repurposing Corrie to the "18th Century."

Fiz''s 10-year-old daughter Hope learned a few bad truths about her father John Stape, who had an affair with Rosie and went on to kidnap the 16-year-old as well as murder other characters in last night''s episode.

Fiz attempted to defend his actions by following Hope''s discovery of a disturbing folder that is now known as "STAPE," which alleges that her father was a violent serial killer.

After telling Hope that John paid for kidnapping her, she continued to refer to Rosie as a "strumpet."

Fiz continued, "After selling his grandma''s house and giving Rosie money."

Tyrone responds to Fiz by saying, "Yeah. Sort of like compensation," according to a shellshocked Hope. "For kidnapping her?" Tyrone replies, "Twice."

Fiz said that "It was a bit of a strumpet." She then accused John of kidnapping Rosie as she tried to pursue his teaching career.

Fans were less than happy with Fiz''s response, outraged that she had launched an attack on Rosie.

"#Corrie strumpet have we returned to Weatherfield in the 18th century?" one unintentionally observer wrote. "Fiz blaming Rosie for being kidnapped because she was a strumpet. Not cool."

While a third said, "Kidnapped Rosie because she was a''strumpet.'' Shame on you Fizz #corrie."

Viewers were also debunked on a separate issue in last night''s episode about how Hope could operate a digger with such skill. Hope reacted to the fact that Phil was a serial killer who died in jail by getting into the mini digger and smashing up his automobile.

"I''m surprised that more people are talking about Phil''s easy-to-find ''STAPE'' folder," says Phil. The child who operated a digger like an adult professional, professed one irritated viewer.

"I''ve had so many questions about how a 10-year-old can start and operate a digger, but I''m not going to have to. #," wrote one participant.

But as stepdad Tyrone is a long-standing mechanic in Weatherfield, perhaps young Hope has acquired some of his machinery skills along the way...

I''m unsure why more people are talking about Phil''s easy to find ''STAPE'' folder. When the child who operated a digger like an adult professional, the writers aren''t even trying to conceal that their sentences are written in crayon overnight anymore? #CorrieMay 23, 2022
