We already have board games with dark souls (Dark Souls The Board Game), but we''re not sure if there''s an Elden Ring board game on the way.
Steamforged Games, which included the Dark Souls board game, announced on its website that an Elden Ring board game adaptation would be in motion, although not much about the board game itself has been revealed yet. The game will be funded through Kickstarter, which you may sign-up to informing when it launches.
"In a vast, broad and varied world of decaying splendur that unfolds through your exploration, you''ll embark on a massive and varied adventure, visiting iconic locations, crossing paths with familiar enemies and characters," says the author, adding that up to four players will be able to play together.
In a new limited edition, a render of Margit and the Fell Omen was also shown off, presumably in a fairly limited limited edition. The announcement also highlights the man who is facing off against Godrick Soldiers and "the Grafted King himself." Obviously, there will be a number of other figurines from the hard-as-nails bosses in the set.
"Our aim is always to deliver authentic tabletop adaptations that capture the essence of what fans love about the IP," says Steamforged Games co-founder Mat Hart. "Fans should expect a dark, richly-realised tabletop world of mystery and danger, with satisfying combat and rewarding exploration. Prepare to lose hours to this game, and to be grateful for it."
Both Sony and Tencent have made investments in Elden Ring''s developer FromSoftware, which means the studio may publish its own games in the future. All of the Souls games and Elden Ring have been published by Bandai Namco, and Sekiro has been published by Activision, thus this investment might give FromSoftware the opportunity to branch out.
