The second season of Babylon has been extended as the future of the game has been considered

The Fall content for the second season of Babylon - scheduled next week - will last for much longer, putting the game''s future in jeopardy.

According to a blog post from last Friday, publisher Square Enix planned each season to last three months. However, the number of games being restored has decreased.

"Season 2 will include the Ver. 1.2.1 small-scale update, but after that we will be using the additional three months of the season extension for development on the next update, and therefore will not make any further changes or adding additional content during that time.

"The game will not see any content updates over the three-month period, but you will still be able to play as usual, so there is no need to worry."

The Light of Aaru sequel will feature a new story chapter, a new faction, a new pistol pistol type, and the sun element. A limited time Sun Festival will take place in July.

"We are so sorry to have to keep everyone waiting in this way, but we hope you keep playing and enjoying Babylon''s Fall," the author says.

When Steam numbers have dropped dramatically, the last bit appears to be ironic.

An interview with game directors Kenji Saito and Takahisa Sugiyama last week provided continued support for the game.

"It is our first time we''ve developed and modified content after its release as part of a live service," Saito said. In this sense, the game is largely a service as well as a standalone product.

There''s also possibility for a series of Season 3, which will be revamped in November, but will this be too late?
