NintendoAccounts will no longer allow social media logins

In the upcoming month, Nintendo will eliminate social media integrations into Nintendo Accounts and the Image Share service on Nintendo consoles.

Nintendo has gradually reduced its support for the 3DS and Wii U, and most recently will close the eShop storefronts for both on 27th March 2023.

The following features that Nintendo is refusing to use social media to create a Nintendo account include: the Image Share service.

It''s currently possible to enter your Nintendo Account via a linked Twitter or Facebook account. This will no longer be possible after the 25th October.

On the 25/10/2022, it will no longer be possible to sign in to a Nintendo account via a Facebook or Twitter account. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Your registration options for the 25th of October will be based on your email address and password, or on a Google or Apple account.

After the 25th October, your Nintendo Account creation via a Facebook or Twitter account will not be possible, and no My Nintendo Points will be given for linking either of these profiles to your Nintendo Account.

Image Share will be discontinued on the same day.

The Nintendo 3DS and Wii U Image Share services will be discontinued on 25/10/2022. Thank you for your support of these services.

The service will not be available until the 25th October, allowing you to post pictures to Facebook and Twitter.

It''s probable that you''ve established a familiar Nintendo Account password before, by uploading any images off your 3DS and Wii U that you''ve been meaning to share online.
