Syphon Filter 2 is the first PS Plus PS1 game with 50hz/60hz regionswitching

PS1''s Syphon Filter 2 has been added to PS Plus, allowing users to switch the game''s regions between 50hz and 60hz.

Through the settings menu for Syphon Filter 2, this feature, discovered by VGC, now allows players to switch game regions from 50Hz PAL (a significantly slower standard).

In the image below, you can see how this process unfolds.

This comes after many disappointed to discover that this option was missing throughout the service''s extensive selection of PS Plus games in June.

Sony said that in the near future, it would provide "NTSC options for a majority" of these games.

Sony did not detail when this change would occur, or details which games were included in its intentions.

"We''re planning to include NTSC options for a majority of PlayStation Plus Premium and Deluxe games, according to Sony."
