As part of a "several" collaboration, EA has confirmed that it is developing a single-player third-person action adventure Iron Man game.
The game - which is yet to be titled - is in the works at Motive, a Star Wars Squadrons studio that will be developing the upcoming Dead Space remake.
The project is still a long way off, and EA lists it as in pre-production. As with other recent early announcements, the announcement appears to have been made to encourage recuitment on the game (and also follow earlier speculations of its existence).
Olivier Proulx, who previously worked on Marvel''s Guardians of the Galaxy for Square Enix, is among the actors working on the project, along with Mass Effect veteran Ian Frazier.
A press release today promised an original story that "tapes into Iron Man''s rich history, dividing Tony Stark''s complexity, charisma, and creative genius, and allowing players to see what it''s like to play as Iron Man."
EA is working on several Marvel games, including Iron Man and Black Panther projects, according to previous reports.
Sony''s Spider-Man studio Insomniac Games is in the works.
"We are delighted to work with Motive Studio to develop their own unique vision of one of Marvel''s most popular, powerful and beloved characters," says the author. "Their dedication to delivering both established entertainment worlds and thrilling gameplay - combined with their authentic desire for the armored icon - will lead us to deliver a love letter to a legendary hero in the form of the ultimate Iron Man video game."
