S01E05, House of the Dragon, Good Farewell to Alcock and Carey: Review

Milly Alcock and Emily Carey both lived long before she was forced to be on the opposite sides of the political coin in. Alcock''s Rhaenyra certainly had the advantage that Emilia Clarke''s Daenerys never had in her early years of having to be traumatized by trauma in her growing and maturing more organically into her narrative. Carey''s Alicent is dealing with a scarcity that threatens her standing with the iron throne. This is your minor spoil

A special "tea" is brewed by Alicent after Daemon retaliated against her father, Ser Otto Hightower, who was deposed as the King of the Country due to Rhaenyra''s influence on her father, King Viserys (Paddy Considine). I am interested in Carey''s Alicent more because it seems like there is a shift the showrunners are putting back on, even as her world is potentially falling apart without the shocking anti-climactic execution. It''s no fault of the actress, and I hope Cooke can bring out that fire Carey wasn''t ever able to let us see the rest of the second episode, titled "
